L'ESTRANEO

Cristian left his job to follow his artistic instinct but finds himself over thirty and unable to visualise what his future will hold.
His sleep is constantly interrupted by a dark presence.
Day by day, he tries to sell his artwork to disinterested clients and chooses cheap wine over tinned food with the last of his money. Night by night, he goes to the same bars, drinks the same drinks and have the same discussions with his friends. But just when each day could not be more like the last, Greta enters his life.
But will love alone be enough for Cristian and his artistic yearnings? Or will the dark presence continue to cast a shadow over his slumber and keep him from contentment? Tormented by his own frustrations, he beings to question everything and everyone in his life.
The Outsider is an atmospheric, romantic and contemplative film, which turns its gaze where the doubt of the proposal of an aligned life is no longer the goal sought after by the new generations.

Cristian ha lasciato il suo lavoro per seguire un percorso artistico ma si ritrova a più di trent’anni incapace di visualizzare quale sarà il suo futuro.
Il suo sonno è costantemente interrotto da una presenza oscura.
Giorno dopo giorno cerca di vendere le sue opere a clienti disinteressati, sceglie vino a buon mercato e cibo in scatola con gli ultimi suoi soldi rimasti in tasca. Di notte va negli stessi bar, beve gli stessi drink e partecipa alle solite discussioni con gli amici. Proprio quando ogni giorno non potrebbe essere più simile all'ultimo, Greta entra nella sua vita.
Ma l'amore da solo sarà abbastanza per Cristian? O la presenza oscura continuerà a gettare un'ombra sul suo sonno e gli impedirà di trovare la serenità? Tormentato dalle sue stesse frustrazioni, Cristian mette in discussione tutto e tutti nella sua vita.
